Meet Oxana Vasyl Yeva, our new SWAS Coordinator
Originally from Ukraine, I have had the privilege of living and working abroad in a variety of roles before my tenure at JFK School. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in language and teaching after having earned a master's degree in English Language and Literature and a PhD in Pedagogy. My experience includes teaching English Language & Literature (L&L) as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) across diverse settings and levels. My research has been dedicated to language acquisition and bilingualism. I was proud to join JFK as an English Language and Literature teacher at the Middle School level, where I dedicated three enriching years before transitioning to the SWAS program. The SWAS program stands as an exemplary sheltered language program designed to bridge the gap for emergent multilingual students.
