"Letter to Grandparents" at The Great Kindness Challenge
During The Great Kindness Challenge week in February of this year, the students of 2A and 2B in elementary school, wrote letters to some elderly people at a geriatric center called Sinankay. They requested our support through the Social Service department to participate in their activity called "Letter to Grandparents" on Friendship Day. The second-grade students demonstrated attributes of the PYP profile by being good communicators and caring individuals. The elderly residents of the geriatric center who received the letters responded with gratitude, sending back letters to the students with their names and lovely drawings. Additionally, we received a written recognition for Mr. Dunn, our principal, for facilitating this activity, which undoubtedly brought joy to the hearts of the elderly residents.
