The Digital Platform Course for Middle School teachers is taking place in the Library Media Center in English and Spanish on several occasions during October. In this course MS teachers learn how to use the school Digital Platforms to search for good quality sources for their classes as well as to encourage them to develop a synergy with the Library.  Teachers are vital in handling information matters in their class. Though brief, this exhibition is an excellent proof of the achievement reached by our talented students. It consists in nine works from 9th and 12th-grade students using with pencil, charcoal, and ink over paper techniques to create hyper realistic works. This exhibition is made with prints of the digitalized original works and will be displayed on the LMC entrance Hall from February 15th to March 1st. Come to enjoy it! It's fantastic to see a significant increase in checkouts at our library, going from 6,471 in the first semester of 2022-2023 to 8,946 in the first semester of 2023-2024 .  This growth is a testament to the growing importance of reading skills in our community.  Beyond academic activities, it highlights a recognition of the lifelong benefits that reading brings. The LMC has organized and imparted the talk How to Tackle my Personal Project Research for HS students of Year 10 who are going through the process of developing their Personal Project. The Personal Project formally assesses students’ approaches to learning skills for self-management, research, communication and critical thinking. Students explore an area of personal interest over an extended period in which they will develop important skills they will need in both further education and life beyond the classroom. The Library provides support, guidance and advice on research skills and approaches through a variety of resources and informative talks. Throughout the duration of the project, the Library aids in keeping students on track and orientates them regarding their background and ongoing reading.
