Surging book checkouts: JFK community is embracing the power of reading beyond the classroom!

Hello! It's fantastic to see a significant increase in checkouts at our library, going from 6,471 in the first semester of 2022-2023 to 8,946 in the first semester of 2023-2024. 

This growth is a testament to the growing importance of reading skills in our community. 

Beyond academic activities, it highlights a recognition of the lifelong benefits that reading brings. This surge in interest signifies an enhanced awareness of the role literature plays in shaping individuals' lives.

¡Hola! Es fantástico ver un aumento significativo en los préstamos en nuestra biblioteca, pasando de 6,471 en el primer semestre de 2022-2023 a 8,946 en el primer semestre de 2023-2024. 

Este crecimiento es un testimonio de la creciente importancia de las habilidades de lectura en nuestra comunidad.

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! National Honor Society (NHS) was founded in the United States in 1921, hoping to create an organization that recognized and encouraged young people with four main purposes. “Create enthusiasm for academic achievement, stimulate the desire to serve, promote leadership, and develop character in students.” Now, after 102 years, NHS has become a prestigious, high-ranking organization among administrators, teachers, students, parents and residents of school communities. Its reputation for excellence is the result of years of commitment by everyone involved. Through service activities, NHS members must maintain and expand the qualities for which they were chosen. Candidates were selected by a faculty council and now all must respect the ideals and values ​​of NHS to maintain membership status and graduate with honours. The John F.
