JFK Reads, much more than a reading program for kids!
Elementary School is excited to announce the launch of JFK Reads! This program has
been reinvented this year to include Reading Journals. This reading incentive
program allows Elementary students to track their reading and respond to
creative writing prompts.
Through JFK
Reads, students will have the opportunity to explore various books and stories,
enhancing their literacy skills and expanding their global understanding. A
unique aspect of this program is the active involvement of parents, who can
participate alongside their children in reading sessions and discussions,
creating a supportive community around literacy.
By promoting
reading within the JFK community, we aim to develop critical thinking,
creativity, and curiosity in our students—attributes essential to the IB
framework. JFK Reads is more than just a reading program; it is a
stepping stone towards nurturing well-rounded individuals who appreciate
diverse perspectives and are prepared to engage with the world thoughtfully.
