JFK Participates in University Counselors' Meeting Organized by CEU, Spain

John F. Kennedy, The American School of Querétaro, was selected among the top 15 high-performing academic institutions in Latin America to participate in a university counselors' meeting organized and funded by CEU universities in Spain. During this experience, representatives from these institutions visited their campuses in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Valencia. During this visit, I had the opportunity to observe how highly they value the profile of our students and the importance they place on the IB (International Baccalaureate) program, which opens doors to various scholarships for our students.

In addition, I had the chance to interact with rectors, faculty directors, and admissions staff, with whom I experienced the rich Spanish culture in a natural and friendly way. I believe that for our students interested in studying in Spain, CEU universities offer a high-level European education, along with the opportunity to immerse themselves in a culture shared through our language, while also discovering other cultural, artistic, and culinary traditions. They will also live in an intercultural environment, interacting with students from various nationalities.

It is important to highlight that all the academic staff at CEU universities not only hold doctoral degrees in their respective fields but also demonstrate remarkable human warmth, making students feel truly valued. The laboratories for medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physiotherapy, engineering, communications, and other fields are equipped with the highest levels of technology and innovation. From the early semesters, practical teaching is central to their educational approach.

Finally, one of the activities organized for the university counselors was a radio interview in Barcelona. During this interview, the host expressed his enthusiasm and excitement at having representatives from different Latin American countries gathered together, selected for the high academic standards of their institutions. Our school was mentioned first, highlighting the academic interests and needs observed in pre-university education, as well as the great opportunities that a graduate student may have upon completing their university studies, whether to compete in Europe or in their home countries.

Kennedy, The American School of Querétaro, fue seleccionada entre las 15 mejores instituciones de alto rendimiento académico en Latinoamérica para participar en un encuentro de consejeros universitarios organizado y financiado por las universidades CEU en España. Durante esta experiencia, los representantes de dichas instituciones, visitamos sus facultades en Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla y Valencia.  En esta visita, tuve la oportunidad de constatar cómo valoran el perfil de nuestros alumnos y la importancia que otorgan al programa IB (International Baccalaureate), lo cual abre puertas a diversas becas para nuestros alumnos.

Además, tuve la oportunidad de interactuar con rectores, directivos de facultades y personal de admisiones, con quienes pude experimentar la rica cultura española de una manera natural y amigable. Considero que, para nuestros alumnos interesados en estudiar en España, las universidades CEU ofrecen una educación europea de alto nivel, junto con la posibilidad de sumergirse en una cultura compartida por nuestro idioma, además de descubrir otros aspectos culturales, artísticos y culinarios de gran tradición. Asimismo, vivirán en un entorno intercultural, conviviendo con alumnos de diversas nacionalidades.

Es importante destacar que todo el personal académico de las universidades CEU no solo posee estudios de doctorado en sus respectivas áreas, sino que también demuestra una notable calidez humana, haciendo que los alumnos se sientan verdaderamente valorados. Los laboratorios de medicina, odontología, veterinaria, fisioterapia, ingenierías, comunicaciones, entre otros, están equipados con la más alta tecnología e innovación. Desde los primeros semestres, la enseñanza práctica es central en su enfoque educativo.

Finalmente, una de las actividades organizadas para los consejeros universitarios fue una entrevista de radio en Barcelona. En esta entrevista, el locutor expresó su entusiasmo y emoción al tener reunidos a representantes de diferentes países latinoamericanos, seleccionados por el alto nivel académico de sus instituciones. En primer lugar, se mencionó a nuestra escuela, destacando los intereses y necesidades académicas que se perciben en la enseñanza preuniversitaria, así como las grandes oportunidades que un alumno graduado puede tener al finalizar su carrera universitaria, ya sea para competir en Europa o en sus países de origen.
