Internal Visual Arts Contest: 60th Art Celebration Project / Concurso Interno de Arte Visual: 60th Art Celebration Project

We are pleased to inform you that throughout the month of September, an Internal Visual Arts Contest will be held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of our beloved institution. In this contest, all students from Preschool to High School will participate, guided by their art teachers as part of their in-class activities.

The goal of this event is to encourage creativity and showcase the talents of our students, strengthen the concepts of the art curriculum, and celebrate the diversity of artistic expressions that flourish in our classrooms.

Contest Details:

  • Start date: September 9, 2024
  • End date: September 25, 2024
  • Categories: Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture
  • Winner Selection: September 26 and 27, 2024

The three best works from each grade will be awarded. Students who achieve 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will have the opportunity to exhibit their works in a special gallery within our school:

  • 1st place: October to November
  • 2nd place: December to February
  • 3rd place: March to June

Secondary School Artwork Exhibitions: Due to the structure of the art classes in Secondary School, where groups switch disciplines in the second semester, art pieces will be exhibited by semester:

  • Semester 1: October to January
  • Semester 2: March to June

The participating pieces must be original and reflect the students' personal artistic vision. For more information on contest rules and submission requirements, please consult your art teachers.

Nos complace informar que, durante el mes de septiembre, se llevará a cabo un Concurso Interno de Arte Visual en conmemoración del 60 aniversario de nuestra querida institución. En este concurso, todos los estudiantes desde Preschool hasta High School participarán, guiados por sus maestras de arte, como parte de las actividades dentro del salón de clases.

El objetivo de este evento es incentivar la creatividad y el talento de nuestros alumnos, reforzar los conceptos del currículum artístico y celebrar la diversidad de expresiones artísticas que emergen en nuestras aulas.

Detalles del Concurso:

  • Fecha de inicio: 9 de septiembre de 2024
  • Fecha de cierre: 25 de septiembre de 2024
  • Categorías: Pintura, dibujo y escultura
  • Selección de ganadores: 26 y 27 de septiembre de 2024

Se premiarán las tres mejores obras de cada grado. Los estudiantes que obtengan el 1er, 2do y 3er lugar tendrán la oportunidad de exhibir sus trabajos en una galería especial dentro de nuestras instalaciones:

  • 1er lugar: Octubre a noviembre
  • 2do lugar: Diciembre a febrero
  • 3er lugar: Marzo a junio

Exhibición de obras en Middle School: Debido a la estructura de la clase de arte en Middle School donde los grupos cambian de disciplina en el segundo semestre, las obras de arte se exhibirán por semestres:

  • Semestre 1: Octubre a enero
  • Semestre 2: Marzo a junio

Las piezas participantes deben ser originales y reflejar la visión artística personal de cada estudiante. Para más información sobre las reglas del concurso y las especificaciones de entrega, les invitamos a consultar a sus profesores de arte.

Estamos entusiasmados por ver las increíbles creaciones de nuestros estudiantes y celebrar juntos los 60 años de nuestra comunidad JFK.

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! Last Friday May 24th, our Middle School students enjoyer the Student Day Dance, an event full of music ans fun. National Honor Society (NHS) was founded in the United States in 1921, hoping to create an organization that recognized and encouraged young people with four main purposes. “Create enthusiasm for academic achievement, stimulate the desire to serve, promote leadership, and develop character in students.” Now, after 102 years, NHS has become a prestigious, high-ranking organization among administrators, teachers, students, parents and residents of school communities. Its reputation for excellence is the result of years of commitment by everyone involved. Through service activities, NHS members must maintain and expand the qualities for which they were chosen. Candidates were selected by a faculty council and now all must respect the ideals and values ​​of NHS to maintain membership status and graduate with honours. The John F.
