Let's keep making the world a better place

 Last Wednesday, June 12th, the 4D students Camille, Luisa, Valentina and María Emilia made a monetary donation to the Hogar la Alegría de los Niños. They came up with the idea of raising funds, which they did by selling chocolates at school during their breaks, in order to help girls like themselves and thereby contribute to their community, put their values into practice, and promote the motto of this IAP, which is "Let's keep making the world a better place." They gained valuable learning and reflection and invite more people to continue supporting.

El pasado miércoles 12 de junio las alumnas de 4D Camille, Luisa, Valentina y María Emilia entregaron a la casa Hogar la Alegría de los Niños una donación económica. Les nació la idea de recaudar fondos, lo cual lo hicieron con la venta de chocolates dentro de la escuela durante sus recreos, para poder así ayudar a niñas como ellas y de esta manera contribuir a su comunidad, poner en marcha los valores e impulsar el lema de esta IAP que es "Sigamos haciendo del mundo, un lugar mejor". Se llevan un buen aprendizaje, reflexión e invitan a más personas a seguir apoyando.

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! NHS, academic excellence, love for service, leadership and character

National Honor Society (NHS) was founded in the United States in 1921, hoping to create an organization that recognized and encouraged young people with four main purposes. “Create enthusiasm for academic achievement, stimulate the desire to serve, promote leadership, and develop character in students.” Now, after 102 years, NHS has become a prestigious, high-ranking organization among administrators, teachers, students, parents and residents of school communities. Its reputation for excellence is the result of years of commitment by everyone involved. Through service activities, NHS members must maintain and expand the qualities for which they were chosen.
