What is it about?

Our Service project at the Montenegro community center is mainly about supporting primary and secondary school children in their homework club and teaching courses. In our case, we did a workshop on personal hygiene habits.

What was a memorable moment?

Something that really impressed us was the gratitude we received for just giving a little of our time and knowledge.

What was the biggest challenge you faced?

One of the biggest challenges was generating ideas and activities about personal hygiene for young children. For example, we did an experiment so they could see the bacteria and we showed a video to teach the proper technique for washing their hands, we made a memo, games, and competitions to capture their attention and make it very dynamic.

What did you discover about yourself?

Sofi: I discovered that I am passionate about teaching children. I strengthened my creativity and organization skills.

Morgan: I discovered the meaning of gratitude and mutual learning. I feel very happy to share my time and receive your willingness to do the project.

¿De qué se trata?

Nuestro proyecto de Servicio en el centro comunitario Montenegro se trata principalmente de apoyar a niños de primaria y secundaria en su club de tareas e impartir cursos. En nuestro caso, hicimos un taller de hábitos de higiene personal.

 ¿Cuál fue un momento memorable?

Algo que en realidad nos impresionó fue el agradecimiento que recibimos por tan solo brindar un poco de nuestro tiempo y conocimiento.

¿Cuál fue el mayor desafío que enfrentaron?

Uno de los retos más grandes, fue generar ideas y actividades sobre la higiene personal para niños pequeños. Por ejemplo, hicimos un experimento para que vieran las bacterias y mostramos un video para conocer la técnica adecuada de lavarse las manos, hicimos un memorama, juegos y competencias para captar su atención y hacerlo muy dinámico.

¿Qué descubriste de ti?

Sofi: Descubrí que me apasiona enseñar a niños. Fortalecí mis habilidades de creatividad y organización.

Morgan: Descubrí el significado de la gratitud y el aprendizaje mutuo. Me siento muy feliz de compartir mi tiempo y recibir su disposicion al proyecto.

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! We Celebrated our Jaguar Day with Great Joy! / ¡Celebramos el Jaguar Day con gran alegría!

On October 11th, our school was filled with energy and excitement during Jaguar Day. This special event brought together students from all sections for a day packed with sports activities, laughter, and, above all, to celebrate the birthday of our beloved JJ. From early on, students participated in many team games. Although the competition was fierce, the highlight was the incredible camaraderie, with students cheering each other on and forming bonds that strengthened their team spirit. The most anticipated moment of the day was undoubtedly JJ's birthday party. Friends from other schools, such as Cumbres, Anáhuac, Plenus, Newland, Cuauhtémoc, Gallos Negros, and Celta, joined in on the celebration. JJ, with his characteristic enthusiasm, danced, played, and, of course, received many hugs and good wishes from his friends. MS Student Day Dance

Last Friday May 24th, our Middle School students enjoyer the Student Day Dance, an event full of music ans fun. Thank you to our Parents' Association for making this event possible, specially to Hely Ramírez from Cornelia Craft Party for the beautiful balloons' back. --------------------- El pasado viernes 24 de mayo, nuestros estudiantes de Middle School disfrutaron del Baile del Día del Estudiante, un evento lleno de música y diversión.
