"Letter to Grandparents" at The Great Kindness Challenge

During The Great Kindness Challenge week in February of this year, the students of 2A and 2B in elementary school, wrote letters to some elderly people at a geriatric center called Sinankay. They requested our support through the Social Service department to participate in their activity called "Letter to Grandparents" on Friendship Day.

The second-grade students demonstrated attributes of the PYP profile by being good communicators and caring individuals.

The elderly residents of the geriatric center who received the letters responded with gratitude, sending back letters to the students with their names and lovely drawings. Additionally, we received a written recognition for Mr. Dunn, our principal, for facilitating this activity, which undoubtedly brought joy to the hearts of the elderly residents.

Durante la semana de The Great Kindness Challenge en febrero del presente año, los alumnos de 2A y 2B escribieron unas cartas para algunos adultos mayores de un centro geriátrico llamado Sinankay, quienes nos solicitaron a través del departamento de Servicio social con Miss Paola Regalado, apoyarles en su actividad denominada “Carta al abuelo” realizada el día de la amistad.

Los alumnos de segundo grado demostraron atributos del perfil PYP siendo buenos comunicadores y solidarios.

Los adultos mayores del centro geriátrico que recibieron las cartas, respondieron con gratitud y contestaron cartas para los estudiantes con sus nombres y unos lindos dibujos, además recibimos un reconocimiento escrito para Mr. Dunn nuestro director, por facilitar esta actividad que sin duda alegró los corazones de los señores y señoras del centro geriátrico.

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! Last Friday May 24th, our Middle School students enjoyer the Student Day Dance, an event full of music ans fun. We Celebrated our Jaguar Day with Great Joy! / ¡Celebramos el Jaguar Day con gran alegría!

On October 11th, our school was filled with energy and excitement during Jaguar Day. This special event brought together students from all sections for a day packed with sports activities, laughter, and, above all, to celebrate the birthday of our beloved JJ. From early on, students participated in many team games. Although the competition was fierce, the highlight was the incredible camaraderie, with students cheering each other on and forming bonds that strengthened their team spirit. The most anticipated moment of the day was undoubtedly JJ's birthday party. Friends from other schools, such as Cumbres, Anáhuac, Plenus, Newland, Cuauhtémoc, Gallos Negros, and Celta, joined in on the celebration. JJ, with his characteristic enthusiasm, danced, played, and, of course, received many hugs and good wishes from his friends.
