Flag football and soccer ASOMEX tournaments

Last week our flag football and soccer teams had a great participation in their respective ASOMEX
tournaments.

The American School of Tampico hosted the ASOMEX children's category soccer tournament where more than 10 schools participated. Our girls team won the sportsmanship award, the only award given in this category. Congratulations to both teams for their great participation!

We also had flag football representation at Saltillo’s flag football ASOMEX, where our team Juvenil A
category (6 th and 7 th grade) participated for the first time with great results. Our team won the
sportsmanship award just like their soccer teammates, congratulations to all of them!

La semana pasada nuestros equipos de tocho bandera y fútbol soccer, tuvieron una gran participación
en sus respectivos torneos de ASOMEX.

El Colegio Americano de Tampico fue sede del ASOMEX categoría infantil (4to y 5to grado) de fútbol
varonil y femenil donde participaron más de 10 escuelas. Nuestro equipo femenil obtuvo el premio de
espíritu deportivo, el único premio que se da en esta categoría. ¡Felicidades a ambos equipos por su
gran participación!

También tuvimos representación en el ASOMEX de tocho bandera en Saltillo, donde nuestro equipo
categoría juvenil A (6to y 7mo grado) participó por primera vez teniendo un gran desempeño.
Obtuvieron el premio de espíritu deportivo, ¡muchas felicidades!

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy!
