HS visit to NAIMUN in Washington D.C.

 

Congratulations to everyone who represented JFK along with 3,000 other High School students in Washington D.C last week at the NAIMUN LXI Model United Nations event! Special recognition to Rebe for the Book Award, Isa O and and Felipe R for a Verbal Commendations and Sofia for winning second place in the essay contest.

While they were not working hard to solve world problems, our students enjoyed visiting the Washington Mall and Smithsonian Museums. Congratulations, Jaguars!

¡Felicidades a todos los que representaron a JFK junto con otros 3,000 estudiantes de preparatorias en Washington D.C la semana pasada en el evento NAIMUN LXI Modelo de Naciones Unidas! Reconocimiento especial a Rebe por el Premio del Libro, a Isa O y Felipe R por Menciones Verbales y a Sofía por ganar el segundo lugar en el Concurso de Ensayo.

Si bien no estaban trabajando duro para resolver los problemas mundiales, nuestros alumnos disfrutaron visitando el Washington Mall y los Museos Smithsonian. ¡Felicidades, Jaguares!

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! SWAS Graduation

  Multilingual Graduates Mark a Triumph in SWAS Program In a heartwarming celebration of cultural diversity and academic achievement, students Banu Duru Aydin, Saulius Charles Aubron,Seung Ah Baek, Asa James Annestedt, Dami Kim, Sung Chul Jeong,Seunga Kang, Mathias Emilio Besecker Frayre  from primary, middle, and high school gathered for a small graduation ceremony. These students, coming from Korea, France, the USA, and Turquia successfully completed the SWAS language program for Spanish and English. NHS, academic excellence, love for service, leadership and character

National Honor Society (NHS) was founded in the United States in 1921, hoping to create an organization that recognized and encouraged young people with four main purposes. “Create enthusiasm for academic achievement, stimulate the desire to serve, promote leadership, and develop character in students.” Now, after 102 years, NHS has become a prestigious, high-ranking organization among administrators, teachers, students, parents and residents of school communities. Its reputation for excellence is the result of years of commitment by everyone involved. Through service activities, NHS members must maintain and expand the qualities for which they were chosen. Candidates were selected by a faculty council and now all must respect the ideals and values ​​of NHS to maintain membership status and graduate with honours. The John F.
