Celebrating the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr.

At the flag honors ceremony, 1C students celebrated the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. through a presentation. “We took inspiration from his message of “I have a dream” to reflect on what the dreams of each student in the classroom were for: their school, their country and the world and capture it on cardboard,” says Miss Jessica.

In addition, they danced along with a song talking about Martin's dream and interpreting his famous motto “I have a dream” with American Sign Language (ASL) and at the end with this language saying “My dream is to be free.”

En la ceremonia de honores a la bandera, los alumnos de 1C celebraron la vida y trabajo de Martin Luther King Jr. A través de una presentación. “Tomamos inspiración en su mensaje de “I have a dream” para reflexionar cuáles eran los sueños de cada alumno del salón para: su escuela, su país y el mundo y plasmarlo sobre cartulinas”, cuenta Miss Jessica.

Además, bailaron junto con una canción hablando sobre el sueño de Martin e interpretando su famoso lema “I have a dream” con lenguaje de señas americana (ASL) y al final con este lenguaje decir “My dream is to be free”.

On October 11th, our school was filled with energy and excitement during Jaguar Day. This special event brought together students from all sections for a day packed with sports activities, laughter, and, above all, to celebrate the birthday of our beloved JJ. From early on, students participated in many team games. Although the competition was fierce, the highlight was the incredible camaraderie, with students cheering each other on and forming bonds that strengthened their team spirit. The most anticipated moment of the day was undoubtedly JJ's birthday party. Friends from other schools, such as Cumbres, Anáhuac, Plenus, Newland, Cuauhtémoc, Gallos Negros, and Celta, joined in on the celebration. ASOMEX Soccer Results

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! Congratulations Jaguars for your excellent performance, and to all the JFK moms and dads who accompanied them with united and enthusiastic cheers during the tournament.    ---------------------------- Este fin de semana, el espíritu Jaguar inundó las gradas del American Institute of Monterrey, con la participación en el torneo ASOMEX de soccer de nuestros equipos de alumnos de 7mo a 9no. El equipo femenil logró el 5to lugar y el varonil trajo a casa la copa de 3er lugar! Last Friday May 24th, our Middle School students enjoyer the Student Day Dance, an event full of music ans fun.
