Ilse Priego, HS teacher, will present an online presentation at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, with the topic: "The process of literary creation as a promotion of higher order thinking: A case study at the Higher Secondary Level", as part of the Twenty-second International Conference on New Directions in the Humanities, which will take place from June 26 to 28, 2024.

The annual event is organized by the New Directions in Humanities Research Network and brings together academics and leaders in the field from different countries.

On the topic of her presentation, Ilse shares with us: Higher-order thinking is a concept that Benjamin Bloom uses in his taxonomy of learning domains, created in 1956 and which to date continues to be a reference for learning processes in the world. educational field.

However, in 2001 there was an update in which creation is proposed as the highest point of Bloom's taxonomy and it is based on it that this case study is proposed. In this case study, a learning process is proposed that manifests literary creation, particularly poetry, as a means of promoting higher-order thinking along with its steps and phases.

A first-year high school generation (10th grade) made up of 42 students learned throughout a unit the aesthetic characteristics of poetry belonging to three literary currents: Romanticism, Modernism and Surrealism; They later identified these aesthetic and formal characteristics in songs from the 20th and 21st centuries; they carried out creative writing exercises based on them; and finally they created a brief compendium of poetry in which they expressed their subjectivity following these characteristics, this as a summative evaluation. This process is shown with its phases and final results in the presentation.

Ilse Priego, maestra de HS, presentará de forma online una ponencia en la Universidad Sapienza de Roma, Italia, con el tema: "El proceso de creación literaria como fomento al pensamiento de orden superior: Un estudio de caso a Nivel Medio Superior", como parte del XXII Congreso Internacional sobre Nuevas Tendencias en Humanidades, que se realizará del 26 al 28 de junio de 2024.

El evento anual es organizado por de la Red de Investigación de Nuevas Tendencias en Humanidades y reúne a académicos y líderes en la materia de distintos países.

Sobre el tema de su ponencia, Ilse nos comparte: El pensamiento de orden superior es un concepto que maneja Benjamin Bloom en su taxonomía de dominios de aprendizaje, creada en 1956 y que a la fecha sigue siendo una referencia para los procesos de aprendizaje en el campo educativo.

Sin embargo, en 2001 hubo una actualización en la cual la creación se propone como el punto más álgido de la taxonomía de Bloom y es con base en ella que se propone este estudio de caso. En el presente estudio de caso se propone un proceso de aprendizaje que manifiesta la creación literaria, particularmente la poesía, como un medio de fomento al pensamiento de orden superior junto con sus pasos y fases.

Una generación de primer año de preparatoria (10° grado) conformado por 42 alumnos conocieron a lo largo de una unidad las características estéticas de la poesía perteneciente a tres corrientes literarias: el Romanticismo, el Modernismo y el Surrealismo; posteriormente identificaron dichas características estéticas y formales en canciones de siglo XX y siglo XXI; realizaron ejercicios de escritura creativa basándose en ellas; y finalmente crearon un breve compendio de poesía en el cual expresaron su subjetividad siguiendo dichas características, esto a modo de evaluación sumativa. Dicho proceso se muestra con sus fases y resultados finales en la ponencia.
