IB Awards - January 2024

It might not feel like it all the time, but the IB isn't just about hard work and grades. The IB and JFK hope to help students realize their full potential as human beings as well, and that is represented by the IB learner profile. 

Each semester, the teachers and staff get together to nominate students for recognition in one of the ten IB attributes, and to recognize their efforts in CAS and in representing our vision and mission. 

It's a moment when each generation gets together with the staff to celebrate some of their qualities, and a moment when it really feels like we are Jaguars United.

Puede que no lo parezca todo el tiempo, pero el IB no se trata sólo de trabajo duro y calificaciones. El IB y JFK también esperan ayudar a los estudiantes a alcanzar su máximo potencial como seres humanos, y eso está representado por el perfil de aprendizaje del IB. 

Cada semestre, los maestros y el personal se reúnen para nominar estudiantes para el reconocimiento en uno de los diez atributos del IB y para reconocer sus esfuerzos en CAS y en la representación de nuestra visión y misión. 

Es un momento en el que cada generación se reúne con el personal para celebrar algunas de sus cualidades y un momento en el que realmente sentimos que somos Jaguars United.

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! SWAS Graduation

  Multilingual Graduates Mark a Triumph in SWAS Program In a heartwarming celebration of cultural diversity and academic achievement, students Banu Duru Aydin, Saulius Charles Aubron,Seung Ah Baek, Asa James Annestedt, Dami Kim, Sung Chul Jeong,Seunga Kang, Mathias Emilio Besecker Frayre  from primary, middle, and high school gathered for a small graduation ceremony. These students, coming from Korea, France, the USA, and Turquia successfully completed the SWAS language program for Spanish and English. The ceremony served as a testament to their unwavering dedication and hard work. The graduates not only mastered the complexity of language but also forged bonds of understanding and friendship across borders. With their transition into mainstream classes, they carry forward their perspectives as multilinguals, equipped to bridge cultures and foster global connections. NHS, academic excellence, love for service, leadership and character

National Honor Society (NHS) was founded in the United States in 1921, hoping to create an organization that recognized and encouraged young people with four main purposes. “Create enthusiasm for academic achievement, stimulate the desire to serve, promote leadership, and develop character in students.” Now, after 102 years, NHS has become a prestigious, high-ranking organization among administrators, teachers, students, parents and residents of school communities. Its reputation for excellence is the result of years of commitment by everyone involved. Through service activities, NHS members must maintain and expand the qualities for which they were chosen. Candidates were selected by a faculty council and now all must respect the ideals and values ​​of NHS to maintain membership status and graduate with honours. The John F.
