Second recertification of JFk as an Eco School by the FEE

On October 26, JFK, The American School of Queretaro, received certification as an Eco School from the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) for the second consecutive year. This great achievement recognizes the work of our entire community to care for the environment. especially by the Eco Club.

Marlene Cruz, Coordinator of the Environmental Program and Eco Club, explains: “Recertifying us as a green school at an international level has been an excellent achievement for the JFK. This is all thanks to the incredible effort made by the students, staff, teachers, parents, and directors. Without a doubt, we are on the right track by further strengthening our actions in favor of the environment. It is exciting to see that every day there are more children enrolled in the eco club with a significant commitment and respect for the environment.

The Eco Club experience is an opportunity to learn more about the environment, to improve our consumption habits, to be more aware of the impact that our daily actions have, but above all to act and be part of this change that we want to have for our planet.”

Let’s keep contributing thought our little daily actions, not only at school but also at home!

El pasado 26 de octubre, JFK, The American School of Queretaro, recibimos por segundo año consecutivo la certificación como Eco School por parte de la Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).  Este gran logro reconoce el trabajo de toda nuestra comunidad por el cuidado del medio ambiente. especialmente por parte del Eco Club.

Marlene Cruz, Coordinadora del Programa Ambiental y Eco Club, explica: “recertificarnos como escuela verde a nivel internacional ha sido un gran logro más para la escuela hay todo un esfuerzo atrás de alumnos, staff, maestros, padres de familia y directores. Sin duda, vamos por buen camino reforzando más nuestras acciones a favor del medio ambiente. Es emocionante ver que cada día hay más niños inscritos en Eco Club con un gran compromiso y respeto al medio ambiente. 

La experiencia del Eco Club es sin duda una oportunidad para aprender más sobre el medio ambiente, a mejorar nuestros hábitos de consumo a ser más conscientes del impacto que tienes nuestras acciones cotidianas pero sobre todo a actuar y ser parte de este cambio que queremos tener para nuestro planeta.”

This weekend, the Jaguar spirit flooded the stands of the American Institute of Monterrey, with our 7th to 9th grade student teams participating in the ASOMEX soccer tournament. The girls' team achieved 5th place, and the boys' team brought home the 3rd place trophy! We Celebrated our Jaguar Day with Great Joy! / ¡Celebramos el Jaguar Day con gran alegría!

On October 11th, our school was filled with energy and excitement during Jaguar Day. This special event brought together students from all sections for a day packed with sports activities, laughter, and, above all, to celebrate the birthday of our beloved JJ. From early on, students participated in many team games. Although the competition was fierce, the highlight was the incredible camaraderie, with students cheering each other on and forming bonds that strengthened their team spirit. The most anticipated moment of the day was undoubtedly JJ's birthday party. Friends from other schools, such as Cumbres, Anáhuac, Plenus, Newland, Cuauhtémoc, Gallos Negros, and Celta, joined in on the celebration. JJ, with his characteristic enthusiasm, danced, played, and, of course, received many hugs and good wishes from his friends.
