March 8th, Equity and Inclusion
In order to contribute to an environment of equity and respect in our community, last Friday, March 8th, Alysa Perreras gave a conference to our students from 8th to 12th grade. Alysa began her work in teaching, learning and growing alongside high school students for over a decade. In recent years, her work has expanded to include curriculum design, adult professional learning, strategic planning, and educational consulting, all through an anti-bias, anti-racist, and justice-centered lens. Her consulting services include inclusion strategy development, systems building, and professional learning on anti-racist processes and practices. She has worked with schools all over the world and has presented at several international conferences. She combines her own lived experiences as a multiracial and multicultural woman and intentional study of other social change practitioners to bring an intersectional lens to everything she does.
